e2fsprogs-dbg software package provides debugging information for e2fsprogs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install e2fsprogs-dbg
e2fsprogs-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the e2fsprogs-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep e2fsprogs-dbg *
You will get with e2fsprogs-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
